ADHD Educational Workshop for Parents: Delivered in 4-5 Sessions Virtually.
Are you a parent of a child with ADHD looking for answers? Are you struggling with overwhelm while meeting the endless demands of your child’s ADHD/EF needs? Read below:
The ADHD Educational Series program is evidence-based and designed for parents struggling to support their children with ADHD/EF challenges between the ages of 6 and 12 years and is delivered virtually in a five-part education series. The program focuses on four broad areas of executive functions – Planning, Prioritization, Organization and Emotional Regulation. The parents will learn about using theoretical, practical, ADHD-specific tools they can implement immediately in their homes.
The program mainly addresses the underlying reasons pertaining to your child’s ADHD challenges by helping you, the parent, understand that your child is whole and capable of finding success despite their different learning needs and diverse brain. The goal, therefore, is not to “fix” your child, but to better equip you as a caretaker with ADHD-friendly approaches that work with and not against your child’s capabilities.

More FAQs…
Are sessions offered in person?
Not at this time. All sessions are delivered virtually through Zoom or Skype and not in person. All our session dates will be pre-planned and mutually agreed upon by you (the client) and me (the coach). In case of a rescheduling, 24-hour notice is mandatory. This will allow me to plan for our sessions strategically and quickly.
What is not coaching?
Coaching is NOT — psychotherapy, counselling, consultation, or tutoring. Coaching does NOT determine or diagnose mental health disorders or conduct formal psychological testing and assessments. As a coach, I will NOT be giving you advice. Instead, what we will work on together is a powerful reflection and self-inquiry, evoking awareness through questioning and creating the autonomy of making informed decisions and strategies for self.
What is executive functioning?
Executive functioning is a set of skills or mental processes that enable us to plan, organize, focus attention, sustain effort, manage emotions, remember instructions, and juggle multiple tasks successfully. We all use these skills daily to manage our day-to-day life.
How are executive functioning and ADHD related?
Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is associated with core deficits in executive function (EF), contributing to poorer self-management in academics or personal life. While ADHD is an official diagnosis, EF is not.
What are the typical symptoms in individuals with ADHD and EF impairments?
Distractibility and lack of focus.
Disorganization and forgetfulness.
Self-focused behaviour.
Hyperactivity and fidgeting
Heightened emotionality and rejection
Impulsivity and poor decision-making.
Poor concentration and trouble finishing tasks.
